After extensive public consultation, Fredericton City Council adopted a new Fredericton Municipal Plan on January 27, 2020. It provides a vision for the future that will shape growth and build a more successful city.
As per provincial legislation, the Plan will now be forwarded to the Minister of Environment and Local Government for signature. It will then come into full effect. In the meantime, see the new Fredericton Municipal Plan below.
The Plan is the cumulative result of extensive engagement with residents, businesses and stakeholders as part of the Imagine Fredericton process, that started in 2016. It defines a dynamic vision for Fredericton, one that supports a diverse and growing city, and is intended to guide the city’s development for the next 25 years.
