City to hold special meeting to hear views on mature trees in Officers’ Square

The City of Fredericton will hold a Special Development Committee meeting on June 26, 2018 to hear the views of citizens about the large, mature trees in Officers’ Square. At the beginning of the meeting, there will be an opportunity for Frederictonians to access information about the Officers’ Square revitalization project. The meeting will start at 7 pm at the Delta Fredericton Hotel, 225 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, NB.

“We realize there is intense public interest in the trees located in Officers’ Square,” said Coun. Bruce Grandy, Chair, City of Fredericton Development Committee. “This is Council’s opportunity to receive feedback about those trees as it relates to the revitalization project for the Square.”

Individuals and/or groups wishing to present are asked to identify themselves in advance to the Office of the City Clerk at 460-2857 or cityclerk@fredericton.ca. Up to ten minutes will be allowed for each presentation. Written presentations / comments may also be submitted to the City Clerk’s office up until the meeting time.
