IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT PARKING
2025 Parking Rate Increases
This message is to advise you that City Council has adopted new monthly and hourly parking rates for 2025. The new rates will apply to monthly and hourly parking in City-owned lots, garages, and 4-hour parking meters.
The monthly and hourly parking rate increases, including HST, are as follows:
• Frederick Square Garage: $120.00/mth to $130.00/mth
• York Street Lot: $120.00/mth to $130.00/mth
• Officers’ Square Lot: $120.00/mth to $130.00/mth
• East End Garage: $130.00/mth to $140.00/mth
• Frederick Square Garage: $1.25/hr to $1.50/hr
• York Street Lot: $1.25/hr to $1.50/hr
• East End Garage: $1.25/hr to $1.50/hr
• East End Garage 24 hour: $15.00 to $16.50
• 4-hour parking meters: $1.50/hr to $2.00/hr
These new rates will take effect April 1st, 2025.

ON STREET PARKING:

Hourly parking meters - Single space parking meters, each marked with its maximum length of stay, can be found throughout the downtown.
- HotSpot Parking - HotSpot Parking Inc. is the City's pay-by-phone provider for virtual payment of on-street hourly parking and permits, using your registered license plate(s).
- Pay station - One on-street pay-by-plate pay station is available on Carleton St. and manages the parking for the east side block between King St. and Brunswick St.
- Permits - On-street daily permits (available to everyone) and annual permits (available only to residents living on permit zone streets) are available for specific parking zones.
OFF STREET PARKING:
- Hourly parking meters - Single space meters can be found in several off-street lots in the downtown.
- HotSpot Parking - HotSpot Parking Inc. is the City's pay-by-phone provider for virtual payment of off-street hourly parking and permits.
- Pay stations - Pay-by-plate pay stations manage the parking in our off-street East End and Frederick Sq. parking garages and the York St. Carpark.
- Permits - Monthly parking permit options, as available and on a first-come first-served basis, can be purchased by the public for several off-street parking locations.
